Our legendary client had a serious business problem.

No new products.

BMW drivetrains were 18 months away and the automotive press was telling everyone to wait.

So, we stopped advertising to people who read the car magazines.

We went after people who actually went places. World travelers. Captains of industry. Readers of The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Condé Nast Traveler and National Geographic.

Even our television media buy skewed towards people with passports and air miles.

We told a bigger story than network TV. Then came the big bang felt across the dealer network.

Demand for the brand became so strong that production was increased for both the Discovery and Range Rover’s current models.

The Museum of Modern Art noticed, too.

Our Land Rover Discovery commercial entered its permanent film collection, while the print ads picked up One Show Pencils and Best of Show honors at numerous awards shows. Even the radio made the Communication Arts Annual.

We made the world flip for us.

Hence, the well-traveled TV spot. ‍
